Playing Photographer in the Gardens

A couple of weeks ago The Welshman and I went for a walk in the Halifax Public Gardens.

He got a new Nikon D40X for graduation and has been in animated photographer mode ever since. Not that I’m complaining - I got his old Sony out of the deal. It still technically belongs to him (the man is proud of his growing camera/camera gear collection), but I get to use it now as much as I want. And he doesn’t even cringe and say “be careful” like he used to. I always appreciated that warning because, lord knows, I was going to swing it around my head by the neck strap with the shutter on just to see what would happen. But, since you said ‘be careful’? I won’t now. Phew, disaster averted.

Here are a few of my amateur shots. I must say, It’s pretty thrilling playing photographer, trying to get the best angle, the most interesting shot, the ideal lighting. Mostly, I just point the lens and click. But, it’s still fun.
