No Easter bonnets/frills ’round these parts

A bunny for Easter:

This was taken on Christmas day two years ago, but I thought it was more seasonally appropriate than the actual easter we experienced. The Easter Bunny brought us snow for Easter. THREE FEET OF SNOW. More than we’ve had all winter.Because, despite popular belief, it isn’t always snowy in Canada. Not even in the winter. And I only take my sled dog team out when I have to go to the next town to trade seal skin for arrow heads.

A and I hid easter eggs for The Boys around our respective apartments, and then the four of us trudged off to McDonald’s for breakfast. The car was stuck. We don’t normally walk places. Oh, and the sled dog team was in the garage resting up for this evening’s hunt.

Speaking of hunt. Here are The Boys pretending to be black bears. Because we see black bears ALL the time on our hunting trips, and the boys were just too excited:

A and I made snow angels, because we’re just silly girls, and hunting is a man’s job:

HAPPY EASTER!ps. A note to PETA:

No I don’t have a sled dog team. I have never seen one, but that would be super cool, eh? My coat is from Le Chateau and is NOT real fur. AND, I don’t know anyone who hunts. Also? I recently read that there are mink farms in Nova Scotia, and that NS is KNOWN for this fact. This makes me sad. Poor little minky minks.
